How much longer can the Denver Nuggets’ championship window stay open?

For six years, Denver Nuggets fans have hoped that they can cash in on their quesarito special and build a championship team around the 41st overall selection in the 2014 NBA Draft Nikola Jokic. For six years, things have seemingly improved.

Denver has been flirting with Western Conference supremacy since their Western Conference Finals appearance in the 2020 Orlando Bubble. More recently, the Nuggets dropped four straight games to eventual Western Conference champions: the Phoenix Suns. However, that loss in the second round was sans Jamal Murray.

After smelling the sweet aroma of NBA success, Nuggets fans are starting to wonder how long the window will stay open for Jokic, now with his newly minted MVP trophy in tow, and the Nuggets to bring a championship home to the Mile High City.

Denver has some key pieces of the puzzle coming together at the right time. I’m going to run through several parts of the roster to help determine how long the team has to compete for its first-ever Larry O’Brien trophy before this image of the currently constructed Nuggets roster becomes a mirage.
