3 biggest weaknesses of the Denver Nuggets roster: #1 Lack of a 3-point specialist

Spacing – a common buzzword in NBA circles, every team needs it, and there’s never enough to go around.

Luckily, having a center who shoots roughly 40 percent from behind the 3-point line eases the need for such a skillset, but nonetheless, 3-point specialists are a valuable commodity for any contending team.

Unfortunately, the Denver Nuggets lack a sharpshooting specialist. Sure, they have several multi-faceted players that can put up numbers in bunches, but no one who solely focuses on bending a defense with their scoring gravity – think Duncan Robinson or Kyle Korver.

Do the Denver Nuggets need a three-point sniper? Not really. Would having a shooting assassin help open the floor for slashers like Aaron Gordon? Absolutely.

Finding additional scorers is always going to help a team like Denver, who are constructed for playoff success rather than the regular season.

With players like Michael Porter Jr., Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Aaron Gordon, the Denver Nuggets can sneak by without a prime 3-point outlet, but finding a way to add one to the roster would make them borderline unguardable in the majority of scenarios.
