Denver Nuggets: Bones Hyland might be a fan-favorite to get the nod

The flashy and fun rookie guard Bones Hyland just worsened an already balky ankle against the Suns, and he’s out for tonight’s game against Portland.

Hyland brings the exact kind of energy teams love off the bench. Plus, the team desperately needs someone with his outside shooting skills. His 3-point shooting had cooled off a bit before the injury, but Hyland was hot for the five-game winning streak. The Nuggets should be looking to give minutes to anyone who could get hot from the outside again.

Hyland is considered day-to-day, so let’s hope he can heal over the rest of the week and again treat fans at Ball Arena to his excitement on Friday. The Nuggets host the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks.
