Nuggets vs Raptors Prediction

With Nikola Jokic looking like a great bet to win MVP, the Nuggets are 7-2 against the spread (ATS) over their last nine. They have the 2nd-best offensive rating and 5th-highest net rating in the league over their last 15 games.

Unfortunately, they’re taking on the hottest team in the NBA today. The Raptors have won eight in a row and covered the spread in all eight behind an explosion from Pascal Siakam and newly-minted All-Star Fred VanVleet. They’ve covered the spread by an average of 7.3 points per game in their hot streak and are flying up the Eastern Conference Standings.

I’d like to take Jokic and the Nuggets to keep rolling, but they’re in a brutal spot after taking on a physical Celtics defense yesterday. Denver is just 3-6 ATS this year with no rest and now has to0 travel to Toronto. The Raptors are 18-9 ATS as a favorite and I don’t think the Nuggets can slow them down.

During their winning streak, the Raptors are 4th in net rating behind the 8th-best offense and 5th-ranked defense. They’ve been excellent and I don’t think Denver has the depth to overcome the tough scheduling spot.
