There’s been a lot of noise surrounding the Denver Nuggets and their plans for the 2022 NBA offseason. Do they make a bold play for another bonafide superstar? Will they offload some of their larger contracts for more team-friendly deals? Does the team trade up on draft night to acquire an elite prospect in a position of need?

The Denver Nuggets are in a unique spot right now. On the one hand, they’ve got the best player in basketball, Nikola Jokic, and are eyeing the return of their second and third best player in Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. Both of whom could be on the verge of two break out seasons in 2023.

On the other hand, Denver still has a long ways to go on the defensive end of the court and little to no cap space to gather the necessary pieces that would put them over the top.

Last week, the Nuggets’ new GM, Calvin Booth, made his first official move as the head of basketball operations. Trading away veteran forward, JaMychal Green, and a future first-round pick in exchange for the 30th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, as well as two future second-round picks.

Now that Denver has the 21st and 30th overall picks in this year’s draft, and just freed up an $8.2 million trade exception in the Green trade. This has led many to ponder what else the Nuggets’ front office could pull off summer, specifically, on draft night.

Obviously, the Denver Nuggets could just stand pat at picks No. 21 and 30, and draft two quality prospects that would strengthen their rotation for next season. Although, it’s believed that the franchise will swing big during the draft to either move up or make a play for one of the various names constantly floating around trade rumours.

Taking this into account, here are the three most likely Denver Nuggets to be traded during the 2022 NBA Draft.
