Denver Nuggets offseason grades: Ish Smith – B-

The other player acquired by the Wizards in the trade that sent Barton and Morris to Washington was NBA journeyman Ish Smith. While he is not the best backup point guard in the league, he can provide some depth to a team that will see Jamal Murray return after not playing competitive basketball for over a year.

This will be Smith’s 13th NBA team, and he will bring veteran experience to the locker room, and will be ready when his number is called. He will bring in solid playmaking and the ability to score the ball occasionally.

He has not survived in the NBA for over twelve years for nothing, he is a solid NBA role player, and he will be a solid player for the Nuggets. He may not play every game, but expect for him to ready whenever it is time for him to be put in the game.
