Denver Nuggets offseason grades: Christian Braun – B

The rookie from the Kansas Jayhawks, Christian Braun, brings some excitement to the roster. While he most likely will not play a lot of minutes, it would not be a complete surprise to see him enter the rotation by making the most of his opportunities.

Braun is a player that will mainly be on the floor because of his ability to shoot the ball, but don’t think that he is only on the floor for that. He is athletic and will be a great backdoor cutter while Jokic has the ball in his hands.

He improved every year in his three collegiate seasons with Kansas, and he will bring what he developed there to the NBA. He has things he needs to improve on, but that will come with time. There is no reason to expect much from a rookie that does not look like a key rotational piece this early in his career.

While he may not be that important now, he will be for years to come. Being drafted 21st overall does not give him a lot of attention, but the Nuggets have drafted gems plenty of times. There is no reason to think that he is not one as well.
