The Denver Nuggets may be facing an extremely shorthanded Washington Wizards team on Wednesday night at Ball Arena.

Washington has listed Bradley Beal, Kristaps Porzingis and Monte Morris as questionable for this game, and the Nuggets are already massive favorites at home.

There hasn’t been a team in the NBA struggling more than Washington, as the Wizards have lost nine of their last 10 games and seven straight to fall to the No. 12 spot in the Eastern Conference.

Denver won’t have forward Michael Porter Jr. (heel) in this game, but the Nuggets have moved to just 1.5 games back from the top spot in the West with back-to-back wins.

This is just the 11th home game of the season for Denver, but it’s gone 7-3 at Ball Arena in the 2022-23 campaign.

Here’s a look at the latest odds and my best bet for this matchup:

Wizards vs. Nuggets Prediction and Pick

There’s absolutely nothing that could get me to back the Wizards right now, especially with so many key players on the injury report.

Washington is one of the worst road teams in the NBA this season, going 3-10 straight up, and now it faces a Denver team that is 5-5 against the spread as a home favorite, winning those games by an average margin of 9.2 points.

This line may move further in Denver’s direction if Morris, Beal or Porzingis gets ruled out, so grabbing it at just under 10 is a solid spot to be in.

Three of Washington’s seven losses on this streak have come by double digits, and they also lost to the terrible Charlotte Hornets and struggling Chicago Bulls.

Denver is a far better team, ranking 12th in the NBA in net rating while Washington comes in at 25th.

The Wizards won’t have an answer for Nikola Jokic is Porzingis sits, and the two-time MVP is really starting to turn things on, scoring more than 30 points in three of his last four games.

Back Denver to grab another win at home tonight.
