3 Denver Nuggets trades to fill void left by Vlatko Cancar Injury

1. Denver Nuggets land Otto Porter Jr. in trade with Toronto Raptors
If the Denver Nuggets were to go and take the “trade for more help” route, then Toronto Raptors forward Otto Porter Jr. could serve as a cheap option. Denver could offer something like the trade below to try and entice the Raptors to offload the 30-year-old wing.
The three-for-one swap would have to be the route the Nuggets take in order to match Porter Jr.’s $6.3 million salary. The real prizes for the Raptors would be 20-year-old Peyton Watson and the 2025 second-rounder, two pieces to help their impending rebuild.
He missed almost all of last season as he battled a toe injury, but played a key role in the Golden State Warriors’ 2022 NBA title run.
Porter Jr. appeared in 63 games for the Dubs in his lone season with them, playing about 22.2 minutes each time. He averaged 8.2 points and 5.7 rebounds per game as a reserve, shooting 46.4% from the field and 37.0% from distance.
If he could return to that level of play, then he’d be a fantastic bench addition for the Nuggets in Cancar’s absence.
