Building a perfect Nuggets cast for Nikola Jokic with 1 All-Star, 1 HOFer, and 2 role players PF – Jayson Tatum

By the end of his career, it seems likely that Jayson Tatum will be in the Hall of Fame. However, if he were to retire right now, he’d be riding the line of getting in or not, most likely finding himself stuck on the side of not getting in.

And while that’s simply a product of how young he is, we’re still going to use him as the lone current All-Star in this lineup next to Nikola Jokic on the Denver Nuggets.

Tatum is an MVP-caliber player who has been a winner for his entire career. The only thing missing from his resume is a championship, and the Boston Celtics are built to compete for titles for the foreseeable future.

As a three-point shooter, Tatum took a step back this year, but that was mainly because he struggled with pull-ups. Tatum shot 42.4% on wide-open threes this year, and he’d get plenty of those on a team with Kobe Bryant and Jokic.

But outside of his shooting, Tatum’s shot creation is what makes him a perfect fit here. With the additional creation of Bryant and Jokic, all three would be able to feed off one another.

Tatum’s ability to thrive off the ball would make him one of the best third options in NBA history on this team, and defensively, he’s also one of the best in the business.

This is the best possible choice of an All-Star without getting too close to the Hall of Fame range.
