The NBA has once again committed a crime against the Denver Nuggets. This time it came in the form of forcing Denver to play on an absolutely hideous alternate court for its In-Season Tournament home games.

The Nuggets’ alternate court will feature the same 5,280 number logo that is on the front of their “City Edition Uniforms” for this season. The court itself will be painted blue with a yellow stripe down the middle, ranging from baseline to baseline.

All 30 NBA teams were given the gruesome gift of all-new alternate-court designs for the In-Season Tournament.

The league published a statement in regard to the purpose of the extra designs, citing the desire to ensure that fans can understand that they’re watching an In-Season Tournament game just by seeing the paint job.

“The courts, which will be used for Group Play and the Quarterfinals, showcase a bold and distinctive design scheme league-wide, making it instantly clear to fans when a game carries NBA In-Season Tournament implications,” the NBA’s statement read. “The unified look represents the first time that the league has implemented an alternate court for all 30 teams and the first time that any NBA team has played on a fully painted court with no woodgrain details.”

The NBA also assaulted the Denver Nuggets with the horrible City Edition jerseys

The aforementioned City Edition jerseys that the Nuggets will wear in their tournament games are truly awful.

The jerseys have a black base with red trim around the neck. The alternates will also feature the signature Rocky Mountains design across the front in navy blue, with a yellow “5,280” overlapping it. Each player’s uniform number will be listed on the left chest part of the jersey.
