1. Nuggets go all-in on Caruso

If the Bulls decide to enter a total rebuild, Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan will garner the headlines, but there could be a bidding war for Alex Caruso. The 6’4 guard was first-team All-Defense last season and fits with any contender. He is comfortable coming off the bench and playing both on and off the ball.

Caruso could play a key role in this year’s title race, but where does he end up?

The Nuggets have to convince the Bulls that a first round pick swap or two plus four second-round picks is the top offer for Caruso. He played under 24 minutes per game last season, which may deter some bidders. Here is what Denver can offer.

It likely would not be enough, but the Nuggets should still try. Caruso slides right into that Bruce Brown role from last season. The current Bulls guard is likely a better defender and shooter. He could be the perfect piece for Denver to make another deep run.

Will the Denver Nuggets make a trade to improve their roster before the deadline? It is too early to tell, but they believe their roster can win it all for the second straight year. Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets could become the next dynasty. The two-time MVP may need some extra help, and fans should expect the front office to give it to him.
