Marcus and Markieff Morris went on Shaquille O’Neal and Adam Lefkoe’s pod, The Big Podcast, and had quite a lot to say, especially about Nikola Jokic and his brothers. Markieff started off by explaining he believed that Jokic took a cheap shot at him back in 2021, and the conversation continued, focusing on the beef that ensued between the Morris brothers and Jokic’s brothers, Strahinja and Nemanja.

Lefkoe started talking about how he is scared of Strahinja, but both Morris’s started pushing back, claiming they are also very big and in terms of the Jokics, “the bigger they are, the harder they fall”. Lefkoe, perhaps jokingly at first, opined that, being in Las Vegas, they could probably set up a fight between the two pairs of brothers.

The reaction from both Morris twins was a mix of excitement and urgency, as if they desperately wanted to fight the Jokics. They talked about setting up a boxing match with Marcus and Markieef versus Nemanja and Strajinha. The Morris brothers didn’t seem at all shy about the grudge they still hold, and seem eager to prove they are just as big and tough.

Shaq picks Morris brothers

When asked what he thought of the fight, Shaq said “I’m going with the Philly boys”, in reference to the Morris’s, but said that he wouldn’t get involved in arranging the fight. He confirmed that he is familiar with their history and made a comment about their past assault charge.

Shaq has been a big Jokic fan in recent years, but he showed loyalty to the guests on the pod. We’ll see if he has any true allegiances if this celebrity bout ever comes to be.

Nemanja an undefeated MMA fighter

While boxing and MMA are different, it’s important to remember that Nemanja Jokic is an undefeated professional MMA fighter. Having that level of fight training and experience should offer a pretty big advantage, even if the rules are a bit different.

We’ve also seen Strahinja in action as he famously punched a fan in Ball Arena and was charged with assault, himself. This hypothetical battle would feature four giant brutes who are clearly experienced fighters. The Morris twins have already expressed their confidence, and I’m sure the Jokic brothers would feel the same way.

So, come on, Lefkoe and Shaq! This is the kind of entertainment the fans want and need; make it happen!
