The NBA finally released the full 82-game schedule for all 30 teams, and the Denver Nuggets got a favorable one with regards to travel for the 2026-27 season. But within the schedule was a subtle message from the league that they still think very highly of the Nuggets, and they're going to be featured across the country even more this year.
The schedule release also included a list of all of the nationally televised games that can be found on ESPN, ABC, NBC, Peacock, and Amazon Prime Video, and the Nuggets have 28 of their games on the list. That's tied for the sixth-most in the league with the Golden State Warriors, and two more games than last year.

Of course, it's the Philadelphia 76ers, who just added LeBron James and Jaylen Brown, that got the bump to co-lead the top of the list with 34 nationally televised games. They share the top with the big-market Los Angeles Lakers and defending NBA Champion New York Knicks, plus the runner-up San Antonio Spurs. The Nuggets' rival and season-opening opponent, the Oklahoma City Thunder, rounds out the top five with 30.
The Nuggets are still one of the top NBA teams
The messaging from the league is simple. They still regard the Nuggets as a top team. And rightfully so. The Nuggets still have three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, the best basketball player in the world, coming off a year in which he became the first player in NBA history to lead the league in assists and rebounds in the same season. Jokic is always must-watch TV.
And Jamal Murray is coming off the best season of his career, where he earned his first All-Star nod and his first appointment to an All-NBA team. Aaron Gordon will be starting the season with a clean bill of health, and the Nuggets' starting five, with Christian Braun and Cameron Johnson, is as good as any starting five.
And despite the Nuggets' early first-round exit against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Nuggets still found a way to win 54 regular-season games with a banged-up roster for most of the year. They're still going to be a good team in 2026-27.
They just might not get to the level of the Thunder, Spurs, and Knicks this season, win-wise, but clearly, with the 7th-highest win total projection at 48.5, the Nuggets are still thought of by most as a top team. And as long as they have Nikola Jokic, they'll always be a bigger draw on national television.
