The Nuggets are looking to close out the Timberwolves on Thursday night and move on to the Western Conference Finals. Denver dug themselves an 0-2 hole in this series after two losses at home, but they’ve bounced back in impressive fashion, winning three straight games to take control of the series.

The team now sits just one win away from ending the series and reaching the NBA’s final four for the second straight season. There are many reasons for the Nuggets’ resurgence; first and foremost being the league’s MVP, Nikola Jokic.

Jokic has been absolutely incredible in the last few games, including his 40 point, 13 assist, 0 turnover masterpiece in game 5. The Nuggets obviously go as Jokic goes, but he is the best and most consistent player in the world. We know that the Joker will show up and come through for his team.

We know that Michael Malone will have the team ready to play and do a great job of coaching, and we know that Jamal Murray will hit shots and stress the Wolves' defense. But beyond the stars, there are other characters who aren’t as consistent, and whose performances aren’t a sure thing.

NBA playoff games between good teams are decided by the slimmest of margins, and role players playing above or below their capabilities can swing a game and a series. Here’s a closer look at two key Nuggets players who can help propel the team to a game 6 victory on Thursday night.
