3 studs and 3 duds from Nuggets game 4 win over Timberwolves

Dud #1: Karl-Anthony Towns
As good as Anthony Edwards was for the Wolves in game 4, his running mate was just about as bad. This was a brutal night for Karl-Anthony Towns, who has had an outstanding series so far. Towns was forcing the issue early, missing his first 7 shots from the floor en route to a 13-point game on 5/18 shooting.
KAT reverted to many of his worst habits; forcing bad shots, making dumb turnovers, and committing unbecoming fouls. He also didn’t hold up well on defense and seemed to draw the ire of his teammates on more than one occasion for being in the wrong spots, switching, and helping when that wasn’t the play.
Towns has played some of the best basketball of his career lately, but when his team needed him most, he was nowhere to be found. Edwards needed his offensive running mate in this one and he couldn’t rise to the occasion. At times it appeared the lights were too bright for Towns and he was almost pressing and forcing the issue.
Edwards is making the leap toward superstardom and he needs a worthy sidekick. There has been some debate as to whether or not KAT can be that guy. Well, if this game is any indication, the skepticism may have been warranted. The Wolves need to get a much better version of KAT if they want to bounce back and win this series.
