3 Things Nuggets fans should root for, 2 to root against to close season

Root for: the bench to get hot
The Nuggets have played 77 games and it’s still hard to know what they’re getting from the bench on a nightly basis. It hasn’t been bad but it’s easily the biggest question mark with this team.
Each of Christian Braun, Peyton Watson, Justin Holiday, and Reggie Jackson have had their moments this season, and I’m sure Michael Malone will give them all a chance to be in the playoff rotation. But I’m not sure how much I trust any of them in a tight playoff game.
Sure, if the starting five are all healthy and firing on all cylinders then the Nuggets don’t need a ton from the bench, but at some point, they’ll need to step up. Last year, Bruce Brown, and even Jeff Green were extremely reliable for the Ngugets and played a huge role in the Nuggets winning it all.
It would be great to see some of these guys play well down the stretch and get into a rhythm before the playoffs start. They’ll likely have some extra opportunity in these last few games. Hopefully some of these guys can start making some shots, gain some confidence, and be ready to score some points off the bench.
