3 Things Nuggets fans should root for, 2 to root against to close season

Root against: The Lakers and Warriors
I’m not saying I’m scared of these teams, but I also wouldn’t mind avoiding them. They’ve both had down years and their stars are aging, but they’ve also been two of the hottest teams in the NBA over the last month or so.
On top of that, they’re also the only two teams in the conference with actual championship experience and pedigree. Teams like the Thunder and Wolves have been great, but it’s still not quite the same as facing the likes of LeBron James or Steph Curry.
This could end up looking dumb if I’m eating my words a month from now, but I’ll take my chances against the likes of the Kings and Pelicans before going to battle with a bevy of proud Hall of Famers who are still damn good players.
Plus, it’s fun to root against villains and we should enjoy the downfall of our rivals and competitors. The death of the Lakers and Warriors would be extremely sweet to watch.
Hopefully, these teams will finish 9th and 10th in the standings, and both will be knocked out of the Play-In tournament without even reaching the playoffs. That’s something that would make me very happy and I think we can all excitedly root for it.
