9 Former Denver Nuggets that the team can re-sign this summer

The Nuggets need to retool this offseason but have limited means to improve. Perhaps it's time to look at some familiar old faces and see if some reunions make sense.

4.) Gary Harris

Harris returning to Denver at this point in his career would be a real full-circle moment and a great close to his story arc. Harris never quite reached his potential with the Nuggets, but he was still an excellent role player and a very important part of the team for many years. He’s been a solid veteran for the Magic in recent years, but that team has lots of depth and Harris’ services may be redundant at this point.

He could easily relish the chance to return to Denver and win a championship ring. He has made a solid amount of money in his career and could definitely be a ring-chaser at this point. Where better to do that than Denver, where it all began?

Harris can still play solid defense and hit open shots. He’s a far cry from the borderline star he was in his early days with the Nuggets, but he’s a productive veteran and someone who can still contribute to winning. He could plug a lot of holes for the Nuggets, play with almost any lineup, and add yet another trustworthy two-way veteran for Michael Malone.

Fans should welcome Harris back with open arms and appreciate what he could bring to the team in a second stint. The fact that he already has chemistry and a relationship with Jokic and Murray should only help.
