Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic stars in hilarious new commerical

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic has captured the attention of fans all over the world with his inspired play over the past few seasons. The big man has won two MVP awards, an NBA title, a Finals MVP award, and is now the star of his own commercial.

Jokic teamed up with Hotels.com for a series of ads set to be aired during the NBA's Christmas Day slate of primetime games.

One of the commercials features Jokic and teammate Peyton Watson walking through the lobby of their hotel along with a pony. The big man assures Watson that there will be no issue with the pony being in the hotel as it is pet friendly.

The inclusion of the pony is reference to Jokic's horses back home in Serbia. During the playoffs and into the summer, his love for the animals became a major talking point of both fans and media members. Videos surfaced of Jokic and teammate Aaron Gordon watching the horses take part in races at the local track.

Jokic has been excellent for the Nuggets this season -- as has become the norm. The big man is nearly averaging a triple-double with 26.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 9.4 assists per game while shooting 53.8% from the field and 30.6% from beyond the arc.

Behind his strong start, the Nuggets currently sit third in the Western Conference with a record of 18-10 trailing only the Minnesota Timberwolves and Oklahoma City Thunder.

Jokic's individual numbers paired with Denver's team success will surely have him in the MVP conversation once again. Many feel as if he may have deserved to capture a third last season, but the award went to Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid instead.
