Aaron Gordon had himself a night in the Denver Nuggets' comeback win over the Golden State Warriors Thursday. No. 50 poured in a season-high 30 points to go along with nine rebounds and did so efficiently. He buried 11-of-17 attempts from the field and 2-of-4 from beyond the arc.

Following the improbably victory, Gordon's performance was put into question by Warriors star Stephen Curry, who wasn't happy that his team had allowed such an explosive night from the Nuggets wing.

“I don’t remember the last time he had 30,” Curry told reporters after the 130-127 thriller (h/t Anthony Slater). “That’s a problem.”

Since joining the Nuggets in February of 2021, Gordon has scored 30 points in a game just four times. The most recent 30-ball from the high-flyer came back on February 9, 2023 when he faced off against his old team, the Orlando Magic.

Nikola Jokic sinks wild game-winner to seal victory for Denver Nuggets

Gordon's 30-point performance was good for the second-highest scoring total for Denver against the Warriors.

He trailed only star center Nikola Jokic, who posted a 34-point double-double, narrowly missing a triple-double with just nine rebounds.

However, his most noteworthy stat was the one game-winner that he sank from nearly halfcourt.

With 3.6 seconds to play, Jokic caught the inbounds pass, dribbled across halfcourt, and then banked in a long-range heave over Kevon Looney to seal the comeback over the Warriors.

The game-winner against Golden State has capped off what has been a historic heater for the big man. Over the course of his last four appearances, the Joker has made 39 of his 44 attempts from the field.

In the win at Chase Center he made 13-of-16 shots, including a perfect two of two from beyond the arc.

The Nuggets will be back in action on Friday night, when they host the Magic at Ball Arena.
