It all comes down to Sunday night for the Nuggets and Timberwolves as fans get to embrace the greatest two words in sports: Game 7. It is finally upon us as things will get going Sunday at 8 PM EST (6 MT). None of the games have come down to the end, but the series has been extremely competitive and back and forth and we could be in for a classic in the series finale.
Both teams have been battling and now some players have been fighting through injuries as well. The Wolves have been relatively healthy in these playoffs, but they did have Rudy Gobert miss a game for the birth of his child and Mike Conley missed a game with an Achilles injury. But they had all hands on deck for Game 6 and are hoping for the same on Sunday.
The biggest issue the Nuggets have dealt with is the mounting collection of injuries to Jamal Murray. At times he’s been dealing with issues to his ankle, knee, and calf, and then he picked up an elbow injury in Game 6. Murray has played through everything but has looked way off at times, including in Game 6 when he had one of his worst performances.
Nuggets injury report
The Nuggets are listing Jamal Murray as Questionable for Game 7, but he is fully expected to play. Michale Malone said on Saturday that Murray looked “very hungry” and hoped that would carry over. It’s clear that Murray won’t be 100% by Sunday night, but he will almost certainly gut it out and the Nuggets are going to need a much better performance from Jamal or their season will be over.
Timberwolves injury report
Much like on the Nuggets side, the Wolves are listing Conley as Questionable, but he fully expected to play. Conley got back in action on Game 6 and looked pretty good. Barring a setback he should be back in the lineup on Sunday to lead the Wolves. His presence made a massive difference on both ends.
Betting odds
The Nuggets are currently favored by 4.5 points at home for Game 7 and the game has a total of 198.5 points, the lowest of the series.
