More video proof Nikola Jokic enjoying offseason despite falling in NBA playoffs
By Ben Handler
The Nuggets season ended in disappointment, blowing a 20-point lead at home in game 7 to the Timberwolves in the second round of the NBA playoffs. Despite the relative heartbreak, the Nuggets have quickly pivoted to offseason mode and making the most of the time before next season.
For the front office and ownership, this means diligent draft preparations, exploring the trade and free agency markets, and making sure everyone is on the same page to make the right decisions during this critical period for the team.
Nikola Jokic making the most of his offseason
But for Nikola Jokic it means getting away and going viral for his activities off of the basketball court. Jokic may not be in the public eye as often as some of his NBA superstar contemporaries, but he has stolen the spotlight on multiple occasions - whether intended and desired or not.
That has been the case yet again this offseason, starting almost immediately after the Nuggets were eliminated from the playoffs. First, the Joker was seen attending horse races in Sweden with some of the horses that he owns. Then later a photo of Jokic and friends embarking on an annual rafting trip in Bosnia.
Jokic goes viral for dance moves
And now a new video has gone viral showcasing Jokic in his element, partying and showing off some of his freshest dance moves.
While Nuggets fans and Jokic obviously wish he and the team were still playing, it always warms the heart to see Jokic off the court, loving life and having fun; it’s refreshing. Professional basketball and the discourse around it can become joyless at times and Jokic isn’t exactly known for displaying the most positive energy all the time.
This viral video also comes out in the wake of news that Jokic was named to the initial Serbian National Basketball team for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. The games begin on July 28th as Team Serbia is scheduled to take on Team USA. Jokic played in the 2016 games when Serbia won a silver medal and after missing 2020, he’d surely love to help his team pull off an upset and take home another medal.
