NBA MVP power rankings week 15: Where does Nikola Jokic stand?

4. Giannis Antetokounmpo
Stat to know: Giannis is in the top five in VORP, win shares, points, and rebounds this season.
Antetokounmpo is putting together another historic season. He is averaging 31.0 points, 11.7 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 35.1 minutes per game. Giannis is shooting over 60 percent from the field and proving to be unstoppable.
The Bucks are 32-15 and second in the Eastern Conference. They fired their head coach and replaced him with Doc Rivers, but Milwaukee is a title contender. The Bucks are tied for the fourth-best record in the NBA. Expect them to be in the hunt throughout, and the acquisition of Damian Lillard may propel them in the playoffs.
Giannis may not lead the league in any category, but he continues to be one of the league’s best all-around options. He is an elite scorer, defender, rebounder, and athlete. Antetokounmpo has a championship ring and two MVP honors. His numbers are arguably better than the two times he won, and the Greek Freak is right in the middle of his prime.
The Milwaukee Bucks need to improve their defense under Doc Rivers. If Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to average over 31 points per game and gets the Bucks near the top of the East, he will finish inside the top three in MVP voting.
