Tuesday, Jan. 21: Sixers at Nuggets (8 p.m. MT on TNT)

Will 2025 be the year that Joel Embiid plays Jokic in Denver? He was a late scratch last year. At least fans got to see the two play each other in the 2024 Olympics.

The Sixers have been praised this summer for signing Paul George in free agency. Maybe he and Embiid will be healthy when Jan. 21 rolls around, but if not, that wouldn't be surprising given each player's injury history. Hopefully, both squads are at full strength!

Wednesday, Jan. 29: Nuggets at Knicks (5:30 p.m. MT on ESPN)

Last season at MSG, the Knicks embarrassed the Nuggets in a 122-84 win. Denver responded in March and beat New York at Ball Arena.

Playing at The Garden is always special, and there's a reason this game is televised. It'll be a battle between two top teams in their respective conferences. The Nuggets will host the Knicks in November, so hopefully, the ending will result in Denver posting a 2-0 record over New York in 2024-25.

Friday, Jan. 31: Nuggets at Sixers (5:30 p.m. MT on ESPN)

If you're wondering why both Sixers' games are on this list, it's because Embiid has played Jokic in Philadelphia in recent seasons. If he misses the game in Denver, he could be in action at Wells Fargo Center a week and a half later (if he isn't dealing with a serious injury).

It's been over two years since the Nuggets beat the Sixers in Philly. Maybe Denver will change that on the final day of January.
