How Kevin Love Could Fit With The Nuggets

facebooktwitterreddit

Rumors are running rampant around the NBA that the Denver Nuggets are attempting to make a play for star Minnesota Timberwolves Power Forward Kevin Love.  Should the Nuggets make this move they would instantly become one of the better teams in the West, and Love would fill the void that Carmelo Anthony left, the ability to hit the big shot when you need to.  Kevin Love would be a great fit in the Mile High City, for more ways than one.

The way Kevin Love would land in Denver now is by trade, but for the sake of argument we’re going to see how Kevin would fit in with today’s Nuggets squad.

More from Nuggets News

PREDICTED STARTING 5:  Point Guard:  Ty Lawson.  Shooting Guard: Randy Foye.   Small Forward: Kenneth Faried.   Power Forward: Kevin Love.  Center:  Javale McGee.

The Nuggets with this starting 5 becomes very versatile on both offense and defense, they have a leading scorer and rebounder in Love, a PG that can move the ball around and open the floor up in Lawson, a good shooter in Foye, an intense spark plug that can help out on the glass in Faried, and a great shot blocker in McGee.  Should the Nuggets trade for Love and use this lineup, all depending on who stays and who goes of course, but they would instantly become a top 5 team in the West, and return to the playoffs.

If this deal is more than just a rumor, than the Nuggets need to do this deal now.  It gives the team instant credibility, and a young superstar to build around.  It will be hard to get Kevin with LA, Chicago, and New York all clamoring for his services, but if the Nuggets prove that they are committed to him for the long haul, then he will more than likely learn to love the city.  Now all Nuggets fans need to do is sit back and pray that this rumor has substance, and hope that Kevin Love is playing in the Pepsi Center this fall.
