Against all odds, Denver pulled off the big upset.

Going into the game, if you would have told me that the Denver Nuggets would blow out the Warriors, I would not have believed you at all.

Well, it looks like it is a reality. I’m still not sure if I am not dreaming, but I digress. The Nuggets bought the fire against the Warriors. They actually played the dangerous game of trying to out-shoot them, but they actually won this round.

More from Nugg Love

The Nuggets set a record for 3-pointers made in a half. They nailed 16 behind the arc in the first half alone and finished the game with 24 3-pointers made.

Juancho Hernangomez was the man of the night as he poured in 27 points while filling in for the injured Danilo Gallinari. Nikola Jokic recorded his second career triple-double by finishing with 17 points, 21 rebounds, and 12 assists.

On top of that, the Denver Nuggets also did a solid job of defending the Warriors’ stars. Klay Thompson was out, but the other Splash Brother, Steph Curry, struggled mightily. He only hit one 3-pointer for the entire game was held to 11 points on a terrible 22% shooting from the field.

Draymond Green was also held silent as he only scored 5 points on 20% shooting and had a measly 2 rebounds. (Funny how people hype this man up over Nikola Jokic, but that’s a different story).

Kevin Durant did pour in 25 points and had 5 assists, but at the end of the day, the Nuggets smacked Golden State in their teeth.

If there is one thing the NBA learned from this game, it is that the Denver Nuggets have an extremely bright future.
