The Denver Nuggets’ jerseys could use a makeover, let’s just be honest.

The Denver Nuggets are in need of a re-brand.  With Nike taking over the uniforms of the NBA next year, many are wondering if a new look is in store for this Denver squad.

Now, I will be honest. I personally do not think the current jerseys are that bad. However, sometimes a makeover is in store and can actually be beneficial from a psychological standpoint for a franchise. Remember when the Denver Broncos switched to the navy blue jerseys in the 1997 season? Remember what happened in that season? That is right, they won their first Super Bowl.

Now, I am not saying that a new uniform is the secret to winning a championship. However, it does often signal a new beginning for a team and often times for the better. For the Nuggets, there is no better time than now to get re-brand. After seeing the potential this team has, it would not hurt to get a new look to help reign in a new era of Denver Nuggets basketball.

Me personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing the skyline come back and having that revamped in some way. Plus, let’s be honest. It is time to get rid of the powder blue color. It is time to bring in something that is navy blue or at least a darker shade of blue that would give this core a more serious and intimidating look to their squad. Hell, maybe having a second alternate jersey that is black would be cool to see to go along with the first alternate jerseys, the yellow ones. Remember the alternate black rainbow skyline jerseys? I actually thought those were slick!

Whether Nike does anything to change the current Denver jerseys remains to be seen, but it would be nice to see some wardrobe changes occur. There is a changing of the guard in Denver with the emergence of Jokic, Harris, and Murray, so why not change up the uniforms to unify a new chapter in this Nuggets organization?
