Denver is bound to have a successful free agency.

The Denver Nuggets will have quite a bit of cap space to play with this off season. With Gallinari possibly being out the door, the Nuggets may be in a position where the cards they have in their hands for free agents equal a full house.

With guys like Paul Millsap, Kyle Lowry, and J.J. Reddick being on the free agent market this summer, there is no excuse for the Nuggets to land someone who can benefit the team both long term and short term. With that being said, expect Tim Connelly to heavily pursue some of these free agents this summer.

As a result, I predict that the Nuggets will in fact land someone. Whether that will be a star like Millsap or a quality role player like James Johnson remains to be seen.

Regardless, expect the Nuggets roster to have at least one new face next season from this summer’s free agency class. They may not get a Steph Curry, Chris Paul, or a Gordon Hayward. But with the amount of money Denver will be able to offer, it is going to be extremely difficult for free agents to pass up a chance to play in the Mile High alongside a budding star in Nikola Jokic in an environment to holds much promise in the future for a young and interesting core. Bear in mind that the Nuggets came extremely close to landing Dwyane Wade in last summer’s free agency.

Don’t forget that Wade came out and later elaborated on the potential the franchise had. All in all, if there is one thing everyone can agree on, it is that this summer’s free agency class is going to be stacked with many intriguing story lines.  Don’t be surprised if the Nuggets land a quality free agent.
