With everything that has already happened, Denver needs to make a splash and they to do it now.

The Denver Nuggets are behind the eight ball in terms of rebuilding their roster so far. Even though the moratorium period free agency has not started, other teams have already significantly improved their roster.

We already know about the blockbuster trade that occurred in the draft that put Jimmy Butler in Minnesota to create a big three with he, Karl Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins. Then, Phil Jackson and the Knicks agreed to part ways followed up by a huge trade that landed Chris Paul in Houston to pair with James Harden.

While Tim Connelly has been trying to upgrade the roster, Denver needs to get on the phone ASAP and work out a deal whether it is re visiting an Eric Bledsoe trade with the Phoenix Suns or even trying to figure out a sign and trade for Paul Millsap.

Even figuring out a sign and trade for Danilo Gallinari could net some good value for the Nuggets. Denver will still have a chance to target guys like Blake Griffin, Kyle Lowry and possibly Kevin Love.

However, with the pace this year’s off season is moving at, it may be too late before the free agency period even begins.

Otherwise, the Nuggets could be doomed to mediocrity for yet another season.
