If you’re a Denver Nuggets fan and a gamer, chances are you already have next Tuesday circled on your calendar. That’s because NBA2K15 finally will be released on October 7, which basically means it’s Christmas come early for the stick jockeys who wait all year for the chance to control our favorite players on the virtual court.
Earlier this week, the folks over at NBA2K15 released an early look at the player ratings for every NBA team and Operation Sports has the round-up. Here’s a look at what you can expect from the Nuggets in this year’s edition of the game:
- Ty Lawson – 84
- Kenneth Faried – 81
- Arron Afflalo – 78
- Wilson Chandler – 78
- J.J. Hickson – 77
- Danilo Gallinari – 77
- Nate Robinson – 76
- Timofy Mozgov – 74
- Randy Foye – 74
- JaVale McGee – 74
- Gary Harris – 71
- Jusuf Nurkic – 69
- Darrell Arthur – 69
- Quincy Miller – 68

Overall, I’d say there aren’t too many surprises here. I think an argument could be made for Ty Lawson to be bumped up a point or two, and I expected Kenneth Faried to come in around 84. Otherwise, I think this is a fairly accurate representation of the roster. Gary Harris is probably satisfied with his 71 rating (although if video game ratings are to be believed, the player the Nuggets originally drafted and then traded to the Chicago Bulls, Doug McDermott, may be a little more NBA-ready since he clocks in with a 75).
What do you think, Nuggets fans? Any surprises here? Are you going to be picking up the game when it hits shelves next week? I was going to pretend like I was thinking of boycotting this year’s edition since the marketing has featured almost no looks at the Nuggets (Manimal throws down a couple of dunks in the latest trailer above, but that’s about it), but who am I kidding? I’m gonna play the hell out of this.
