PREVIEW: Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets (VIDEO)

Game time is just a couple of hours away, Nuggets fans. Portland Trail Blazers at Denver Nuggets!

These two teams met over the weekend in Portland and though the Nuggets put up one of their better shooting nights of the young season, it wasn’t enough to hang with the Blazers who won 116-100.

The Denver Nuggets official YouTube channel posted this pre-game preview, and it gives a nice look at what to expect form tonight’s matchup. Portland is rolling into Denver with what will hopefully be some tired legs, as this will be their fourth game in five nights, and the team is coming off a tough road win against the Charlotte Hornets last night that saw them battle back from over 20 points down to win 102-100. Denver should be able to use their depth to attack the Blazers, keep the tempo up, and use the elevation to run their opponents off the court in the second half.

The Nuggets haven’t seen game action since Sunday’s game in Portland, so their legs should be fresh and ready to get the second win of the season. To do so, they will have to find a solution for LaMarcus Aldridge, a player who seems to give  the Nuggets fits and match-up problems every game. The last time the Nuggets beat Portland was back in 2013, which is pretty embarrassing if you think about it. A win at home in a pay-back game against a tough Western Conference opponent could be just what the doctor ordered to get Denver’s season back on track and moving in the right direction.

The Nuggets and Blazers get underway tonight at 9 p.m. ET at the Pepsi Center in Denver. The game will be broadcast on the Altitude network.
