On Wednesday night, the Denver  Nuggets travelled to Phoenix to face the Suns in search of their sixth straight win. Unfortunately, the Nuggets came out a little flat and couldn’t overcome another shaky shooting performance, ultimately losing to the Suns 112-120.

Despite the loss, there were plenty of highlights for the Nuggets. Timofey Mozgov played one of his most complete games of the year, posting 18 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocks. Ty Lawson continued his amazing start with another double-double, dropping 12 dimes to go along with his 17 points. And Alonzo Gee had his best game in a Denver uniform after seeing extra minutes when Danilo Gallinari left the game with soreness in his knee; Gee finished with 11 points and 5 rebounds in 18 minutes of work.

But the best play of the night may have been this Nuggets fast break. Following a missed basket by Phoenix, Mozgov got the ball into the hands of Arron Afflalo, who then threw a bounce pass the length of the court to a streaking Wilson Chandler. The ball was low, but Chandler was able to collect it in stride and lob it towards the hoop, where Kenneth Faried corralled it and finished the play with a strong dunk. Basketball just doesn’t get much prettier than this, folks:

The Nuggets once again face the Suns tonight, this time in the friendly confines of the Pepsi Center. The game gets underway at 9 p.m. ET/7 p.m. MT.
