3. Brandon Ingram, F, Duke, Fr./6’9″, 190 lbs.

Possibly the prospect with the most upside in this draft, Brandon Ingram has impressed scout’s at Duke this season. He’s rated second overall by both DraftExpress and CBS Sports, challenging Simmons for the number one overall spot on a lot of boards.

Ingram’s averaging 16.4 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.7 steals per game in Durham this season. He’s been incredible since the month of December, averaging 20.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.1 blocks and 1.8 steals per game in the last nine for the Blue Devils.

Ingram isn’t quite Kevin Durant in my opinion, but with a smooth offensive game that’s only developing, the comparison could be more plausiable. NBA team’s will fall in love with Ingram’s defensive potential, given his elite length (7’3″ wingspan). Getting stronger and filling out his rather thin frame will be crucial for Ingram’s ability to take the next step as a player.
