Honorable Mentions: Teams without picks

New York Knicks:

The Knicks are a team that have struggled over the past couple of years. With the addition of Kristaps Porzingis, they are progressively getting better, but with Carmelo Anthony aging and no picks in this year’s draft, it’s hard to tell how good their future will be.

Team Needs: PG,C,SG

Portland Trail Blazers:

The Blazers have one of the strongest, and youngest backcourts in the NBA. With Damian Lillard and C.J. Mcollum as their core, the Blazers look like they will be in the playoffs for a while. They also have young players at other positions including Meyers Leonard and Mason Plumlee.

Team Needs:SF,PF

Cleveland Cavaliers:

The Cavs have been in back to back Finals thanks to LeBron James. Although they have been in the Finals for two straight years, they are likely to be losing their second straight. The Cavs need to make changes.

Team Needs: SG,C

Oklahoma City Thunder:

The Thunder were one game away from the NBA Finals before losing three straight to the Golden State Warriors. With Durant becoming an unrestricted free agent this offseason, their only goal should be to resign him. The Thunder are only one role player away from being in the Finals.

Team Needs: SG,PF,SF

Miami Heat:

The Heat went from a lottery team to the second round of the playoffs. They have a championship capable roster, they just need a couple more pieces. The Heat should be focusing on retaining Hassan Whiteside, who has shown signs of dominance and is a shot blocking force, and Dwyane Wade.

Team Needs: PF,C

Washington Wizards:

The Wizards have talent, and should be a playoff team, but missed out on the playoffs by only a couple of games this past year. They need to keep Bradley Beal on the roster, and if they do, they would stay in playoff contention.
