NBA Draft: 5 Likely Shooting Guards For the Nuggets
Jaylen Brown
Jaylen Brown, who underperformed in his one season at California, has risen his draft stock by showing off his incredible athleticism. Brown averaged 14.6 points per game on less than 45% shooting from the field.
Brown is an incredible athlete, perimeter defender, and scorer, but Brown has not developed a consistent jump shot. Brown may not be the best fit beside Mudiay because of their similar drive-and-kick play style.
In several NBA mock drafts, Jaylen Brown is projected to end up in Denver which could be the best possibility for Denver if he can, with professional coaching, develop an outside shot.
Brown and Mudiay could team up and put together what could be one of the most exciting backcourt duos in the NBA. I am not convinced that Brown in currently the best fit in Denver, but there will never be any doubts that him in Denver could be the best possibility for both sides.
Brown, who has the upside to be a James Harden-esque player, will have the ability to show off his talents in Denver if they draft him.
Likelihood: 45%
