Malik Beasley

The Denver Nuggets’ third selection of the first round of the 2016 NBA Draft saw the team select freak athlete Malik Beasley out of Florida State University, at number 19. Beasley is a high-flyer who can soar through the air and finish at the rim, as exhibited by this savage dunk on number two overall pick, Brandon Ingram of the Los Angeles Lakers.

According to Malika Andrews of the Denver Post, Beasley will bring a “mutant” work ethic to the Mile High City. Aniello Piro of Mile High Sports feels like Beasley could end up being the steal of this year’s draft and drew comparisons between Beasley and a former Nugget — and shirtless NBA Champion J.R. Smith.

It appears that as excited as the Nuggets are to have Beasley in the fold, he is equally excited to join the team and meet Nuggets fans.

Beasley is an exciting player and intriguing talent who will be able to bring energy and scoring off the bench this season as he develops his game and heals from a stress fracture in his right tibia. Let’s hope for Nugget fans everywhere that Beasley can stay healthy throughout the tenure of his rookie year.
