NBA Free Agency: Top 5 Free Agents Still on the Market
Kevin Durant
Still the biggest story this NBA off-season; what team will superstar Kevin Durant play for next season. The Clippers just re-signed Austin Rivers to a three year $35 million dollar deal, pretty much taking themselves out of the running. Durant chose not to meet with the Lakers, Wizards, or Nuggets organizations, because they won’t guarantee him a ‘ship, and KD is hungry for a ring. That leaves San Antonio, Miami, and the top-three most likely; Golden State, Boston, and Oklahoma City.
Boston signing Al Horford to a four year $113 million deal is bold, but worth it in this market, regardless if makes the Celtics more enticing to KD or not. Bringing Tom Brady, Matt Damon, and Bill Russell along to the meeting to convince him to choose the Celtics, another smart move.
Ortiz missed the meeting, but he said KD some words on Twitter.

But they even they can’t promise him an automatic championship. The Warriors can; and that meeting went great too. I don’t know if Durant has it in him to make a decision that would create an unstoppable super team and turn the whole non-Bay Area, non-bandwaggon world against him. It just wouldn’t be fun.
And finally, the return Oklahoma City is still at the top pf the list of possibilities, because after all he’s been with OKC since the beginning, and there is only one Russell Westbrook.
This free agency is not finished yet, and we could still see the DeAndre Jordan move. Money will still be paid, and teams will still go bonkers along with their respective fanbases. Prepare yourself for the next couple crazy days of free agency.
