Denver Nuggets: 3 Takeaways from Denver’s First SL Loss
Rising Rook
Jamal Murray, who was the seventh overall pick, completely dominated the game against the Heat. He put up 29 points, but he was only 2-for-10 from behind the arc.
This is encouraging since in my last takeaways I explained how it may take Murray more time than anticipated. Sadly, Murray did not do much else other than score. He compiled only one rebound and just two assists. But, scoring is exactly what this highly anticipated rookie was meant to come in and do.
Murray seemed extremely confident, and he proved that in this highlight video. During the first part of this clip is the time that the Denver Nuggets had a chance to put the game out the reach, but they just did not connect on the opportunity.

Murray will hopefully be able to comeback and perform excellently again as the Nuggets next game will be in the Las Vegas Summer League tournament. Tthe Nuggets will play on July 13, and the details are still to be announced.
This could be the start of a hot streak for Murray. It will be exciting to see if this kick starts Murray’s confidence into future games.
