Jumping Jimmer

Well, the title is a bit wrong because we all know Jimmer is not known for jumping. He has certainly proved his worth for the Nuggets Las Vegas Summer League team. Coming back from his 26 points performance in Denver’s blow out win against Memphis, Jimmer put up 18 tonight.

Fredette could be fighting for a spot that is supposably up for grabs between JaKarr Sampson and Alex Toupane, but could Jimmer jump into the conversation?

The big thing that Toupane and Sampson have going for them is they are only 23, and they have a much higher ceiling than Fredette, but Fredette could come in and produce in limited minutes for the Denver second unit which could prove to be valuable. Jimmer, who was a collegiate superstar at BYU, has yet to find an NBA team to call home after spending his first year with the Kings and being on the Knicks and Pelicans squads also.

This summer league could be his chance, but Jimmer will need prove to Nori, GM Connelly, and ultimately Michael Malone that he can be trusted with a bench spot.

This tournament coming up is the chance for Jimmer to renew his career and fight for a coveted spot not he Denver Nuggets roster.
