Emmanuel Mudiay

Pokemon: Mewtwo

I know what a lot of people will say when they see the selection for Mudiay. Many will be skeptical, saying that Mudiay isn’t a high enough caliber to be Mewtwo. However, to the Denver Nuggets, Emmanuel Mudiay is in the driving seat of our future, and therefore is worth just as much to the Nuggets as Mewtwo would be to any young Pokemon trainer. Now that he is out of his rookie season and has received a taste of NBA basketball, the young point guard should come into next season very hungry for success.

One of Pokemon’s most famous quotes was spoken by Mewtwo in, “Pokemon: The First Movie,” which released in the late 1990’s. It is a quote that is stuck in the hearts of many Pokemon fans growing up, including myself. “I see now that the circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant, it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are.” I know this is a bit of a stretch, but Mudiay’s rookie year can now be considered irrelevant. What he does for the rest of his career can determine how he is remembered by NBA fans.

Also, Mudiay-Mewtwo, they sound very similar. I had to do it.
