Kenneth Faried

Kenneth Faried is one of the Denver Nuggets starters with the most question marks heading into this season. Faried is a player who plays with incredible intensity and is a monster on the floor, tallying 21 double doubles last season. Faried is an elite offensive rebounder and rim protector and showed improvement in many parts of his game offensively last season. There is no doubt that Faried plays with incredibly ferocity and with great passion, but there are numerous aspects of his game that need improved upon.

Kenneth Faried has had many issues on the defensive side of the court during his time in Denver. Faried has struggled to defend the big in the pick and roll as well as in the low post.

Faried often finds himself leaving too much space on the pick and roll for the now prevalent stretch 4’s to find room to shoot. Faried has also let opposing bigs do what they want in the low post, leading to opposing players shooting a high percentage from the low post.

Faried will need to show improvement on almost every aspect defensively apart from shot blocking if he wants to be the Denver Nuggets true franchise player. Faried has the work ethic and drive to improve, but he has not shown much improvement defensively thus far in his career.
