The Rio Olympics have been a great commodity to a boring summer, and now in mens basketball, Serbia will get its shot to face and potentially upset the United States. Serbia has struggled so far this Olympics. They failed to beat France and lost that game in a tightly contested match up, 76-75. While they were able to slam Venezuela by over 20 points, Serbia again dropped another winnable game to Australia. Serbia came in with high expectations, but seemingly have had their Rio Olympics crushed so far. This is their redemption. Could the 1-2 underdog shock the most dominate basketball team in the world?

The United States has had the opposite storyline. They seemed a bit startled by a rowdy Australian bunch led by Patty Mills and Matthew Delevadova in there third preliminary round game. But, with a team full of NBA superstars, the United States do not have much to worry about. They have been able to route both Venezuela and China significantly. With two interesting group games left against Serbia and France, the US still needs to compete at the highest level in these Rio Olympics.
