Taking place on November 10th, 2016, the Nuggets take on the Golden State Warriors at home.

At number nine on our list is one of the clear and bigger favorites to hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy next summer, the Golden State Warriors. They made the obvious biggest move in free agency this year by signing superstar Kevin Durant to their roster. The reason that this game made this spot is because it is the first game back after a five game road stand, and the Nuggets won’t have a cake-walk to a win. They will have to face the reigning MVP Stephen Curry and a team that made the NBA Finals last season even without Kevin Durant. This game would get higher on the list, but it always seems like the Nuggets play very well against the Warriors in Denver.

The Nuggets were the only team to beat both the Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs last season, so this is a good chance to prove that it wasn’t a fluke last year. Not only is it right after a five game road stand, it is only the eighth game of the season, so the Nuggets won’t have too much time to prepare for this game.

Golden State looks to win the NBA Finals again, after losing to the Cleveland Cavs in seven games after trying for a repeat of the championship. The Warriors lost their starting small forward in Harrison Barnes and multiple big men in Andrew Bogut and Festus Ezeli.

Look out for this game and Denver’s chances at the Pepsi Center.
