Should the LA Lakers and Denver Nuggets Consider This Deal?
Impact on the Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are a historically great franchise, but they have been one of the NBA’s worst teams the last couple of seasons.

This trade would give them a starting lineup of:
- PG, D’Angelo Russell
- SG, Jordan Clarkson
- SF, Brandon Ingram
- PF, Kenneth Faried
- C, Timofey Mozgov
- 6th Man, Gary Harris, Luol Deng
The Los Angeles Lakers, just like the Denver Nuggets, have not lived above the rim over the last couple of years, and Kenneth Faried is their break. With a hit-and-miss on former Pacer big man Roy Hibbert, the Lakers spent money to improve that position by obtaining Timofey Mozgov this offseason.
This trade for the Los Angeles Lakers could be worth it. They obtain a continually improving young shooting guard, who would add a perimeter defensive threat, and a veteran power forward. The Los Angeles Lakers seem to be young at every position except center which is why this trade would shock me. Why take away a young big to overcrowd a backcourt?
They would send Gary Harris to the bench most likely and create a three-headed youthful backcourt. The Lakers would could continue to create a solid team behind this trade offer.
