Michael Adams was acquired by the Denver Nuggets in 1987 in a trade with the Washington Bullets. He had bounced around numerous teams before finding his home with the Nuggets.
Adams was a sharpshooter at point guard, finishing 2nd in the league in three pointers in his first season, and 1st in the league the following two seasons. He also finished 4th in the league in assists in his final season in Denver in 1990-91.
Adams averaged 18.2 points and 7.2 assists per game during his four seasons in Denver. He remains among the leaders all time in both three pointers made and attempted, recording 79 consecutive games of making a three point field goal.
Adams, despite his short stint in Denver, still sits at second place all time in three point shots made for the Denver Nuggets. He was an extremely fun player to watch light up the scoreboard for the Nuggets. Adams game helped lead the Nuggets to the playoffs, averaging 26.5 points and 10.5 assists per game in his final season with Denver.
