Denver Nuggets vs Portland Trail Blazers

The Trailblazers turned some heads last season finishing 5th in the Western Conference. The Trailblazers even found a way to get past an injured Clippers line-up in the first round of the playoffs. Last season the Nuggets only won one of four games against the Damian Lillard lead Trailblazer squad. The Blazers averaged a bit over 108 points against Denver in 2015-2016.

The Nuggets should be excited to play in front of the home crowd on opening night. That will include a retirement of Diekembe Mutumbo’s jersery. I am expecting the Nuggets to show off their improved defensive principles in the opening night match up in honor of the former Nugget.

Win/Loss Rating: Advantage Nuggets (1-0-Even)
