Corey Brewer and KJ

The Houston Rockets are looking very good right now, as they found their point guard. To a lot of people’s shock, it’s actually their superstar, James Harden. He’s lead them to an 8-5 start and doesn’t look to stop anytime soon. With the start that they’ve had, what could they possibly want on the Nuggets?

Just so everyone knows, this is a deal that could not take place until mid-December, as Arthur cannot be traded until then since he signed as a free agent. So why does this trade work for both sides?

More from Nugg Love

The Rockets would receive Nelson who could back up Harden and Eric Gordon, plus splitting point guard time with Patrick Beverley. The Rockets also need more skill at the power forward position, and the acquisition of Darrell Arthur could do that.

The Nuggets would bring back Corey Brewer, who actually was a member of the Nuggets for a number of years. He could fit back in nicely as a SF/PF for Denver. McDaniels would also be nice because I feel that he has plenty of talent and potential, and the Nuggets are trying to gain some potential.

The Rockets need to solidify their defensive presence in the post while Denver could use the freed up space for their front court. The two Houston guards could certainly help if Denver were to have the injury bug strike again.
