Nuggets Hit 10 of 10 Field Goals and Defeat the Spurs (In The First Quarter)
The Art of the Stroke

And the Nuggets painted a beautiful landscape the first quarter. Their painting strokes were virtually perfect. Clean shots, pressure defense, great movement, determination. There is nothing they can do about an Aldridge or the vast experience San Antonio has. They can only do what they can do.
The problem is, with the picture almost finished, San Antonio had the landscape covered; they were able to use their broad strokes of experience, and take their game from the level plain, to the top of the mountain.
What we saw tonight was joyous and painful. We so wanted our boys to compete and win. They really tried as long as they could.
Their loss was simply a matter of being out matched.
It wasn’t coaching; it wasn’t preparation; it wasn’t desire.
It was experience and talent. We have good talent; we are developing the experience.
