Way-Too-Early Projections for the Nuggets Starting Line-up
By Blake Holmes
Starting at small forward, standing at 6-8, from DePaul, Wilson Chandler.
This is where things start to get interesting. I’m going with the veteran forward, Wilson Chandler.
I know what you’re thinking, and yes, he has been the sixth man for the small forward position. However, if he can play good defense and shoot the ball efficiently, he could be Denver’s three.

Normally playing small forward, he has played the power forward position in a small ball line-up as well, and I think that’s how Denver should play. There are just too many shooters to ignore on the roster. That doesn’t mean to follow the motto, “Live by the three, and die by the three,” but there’s no point in wasting good shooters. He could even slide over in the starting line-up at the power forward spot if they wanted, but he is comfortable at the three.
There are several questions on whether or not the Nuggets will even have Chandler available to them next season. His name was thrown out at the deadline this year and the Magic have reportedly been interested in him.
With what Denver has available to them right now, I’m sticking to my guns with Chandler. Another person I had him battling with is Danilo Gallinari, but I like Chandler in the post more than the Italian. Not to mention, Gallo is more likely to be gone from the team next season than Wilson regardless, as he can opt out of his contract this summer.
He’s a veteran with this team, and it’s time for him to get his minutes.
